New IRS Mileage Rates and Google Maps in Workday

Beginning January 1, 2025, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has increased the standard mileage rate from 67 cents per mile to 70 cents per mile for business-related travel. For mileage driven since January 1, 2025, the new Google Maps feature in Workday should be used. Be sure to select the expense item, ’Mileage – Employee_Effective Jan 2025’ to apply the new rate.
